How do you step from the top of a 100-foot pole?

Life is about what you want? How are you going to get it? What are you going to do with it?  All my days at varsity I met different people coming from different background, some of them coming far as Limpopo, some coming far as Congo and Sierra Leone.

Let me tell you a story of a friend of mine by the name Linda muhwambi, was born in Congo and raised in Sierra Leone 26 years ago. Muhwambi was one of the children who were forced to be a child soldier, but fortunately he ran away from the camp because he didn’t want to be a soldier, all he wanted was to be a doctor.

He left the camp without food but he knew where he was heading to, fortunately enough he found himself in South African. Image yourself in a foreign land without your family and you have to start a new life. However he managed to get a job in a nearest farm and he worked so hard to save his money, and then left the farm job for security job. After some time he enrolled at Boland College for National Certificate Civil Engineering and Construction, by that time he was working straight night and during the day attending his classes. After he passes his course he enrols at Stellenbosch University for Medicine.

Today Linda Muhwambi is currently doing his third year in medicine. Life is all about hard work, risk, determination
